Day 01: NJP Rly Station / IXB Airport – Phuentsholing

(Distance: 170 kms. / Driving Time: 5 hrs. / Altitude of Phuentsholing: 293 mts.)

Meet & Greet on arrival at NJP Railway Station / IXB Airport and transfer to Phuentsholing (961 ft.) - The Gateway of Bhutan by Road from India. It is a thriving commercial center on the northern edge of the Indian Plains. On arrival check in at the hotel. Overnight stay at Phuentsholing.

Day 02: Phuentsholing – Thimphu

(Distance: 176 kms. / Driving Time: 6 hrs. / Altitude of Thimphu: 2350 mts.)

After breakfast complete the immigration formalities and transfer to Thimphu (7,710 ft.) the capital city of Bhutan. On arrival check in at the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at Thimphu.

Day 03: Thimphu Sightseeing

After breakfast visit Kuensel Phodrang (Buddha Statue) a place for refreshing with a huge statue of Buddha on the top of the Kuensel Phodrang, National Memorial Chorten (Monument) & Folk Heritage Museum. Afternoon visit Sangaygang View Point, Changangkha Monastery, Takin Preserve Centre, the national animal of Bhutan can be seen here. In the evening visit Tashichho Dzong (Fortress of the Glorious Religion). Overnight stay at Thimphu.

Day 04: Thimphu – Paro Sightseeing

(Distance: 65 kms. / Driving Time: 2 hrs. / Altitude of Paro: 2280 mts.)

After breakfast transfer to Paro (7483 ft.). On the way visit the Tamchog Lhakhang – It is situated between Thimphu and Paro and it was built in the 13th century by Thangthong Gyalpo. He is also known as the Iron bridge builder. Situated on a hill top, we have to cross an ancient style bridge to reach the temple. On arrival in Paro, check in at the hotel. Afternoon visit Ta Dzong.

- National Museum with an excellent collection of arts, relics, religious thangkha, etc. Rinpung Dzong - Meaning "fortress of the heap of jewels". The dzong now serves as the administrative and judicial seat of Paro. Overnight stay at Paro.

Day 05: Paro Sightseeing

After breakfast hike to the famous Taktsang Monastery - called “Tiger’s Nest” (2hrs hike from the base camp). Later visit

Drukgyel Dzong & Kyichu Monastery. Overnight stay at Paro.

Day 06: Paro Airport

After breakfast check out from hotel and drop at Paro Airport for your onward journey.

For tour Starting or ending from India Packages, we provide exclusive Indian Vehicle in India Part and Bhutan vehicle in Bhutan part. All the vehicles provided, unless other wise specified will be Non-A/C Vehicles. Supplement Charges will be applicable for A/C vehicles.

Permit for Bhutan:

Indian nationals do not require visa to travel in Bhutan. However, they require an entry permit which will have to be processed on arrival at the entry point.

Advance Online Permits

If you are traveling with an Indian Passport (with a minimum validity of 6 months from the date of departure from Bhutan), you can avail advance online permits by sending us clear colour scanned passport copy. It should reach us before 10 working days. We shall not be responsible for any rejections or similar issues in regards to the permits due to improper documents or delay in arrival of documents.

Bhutan Travel Permits on arrival via land

If you are travelling with voter id card or without an advance permit, it is to be noted that the permits are issued only during working days and hours (Monday to Friday between 9 am to 4 pm during winter and 5 pm during summer). It is suggested that the travelers arriving in Phuentsholing on Friday should arrive latest by 10 AM in order to complete the entry formalities on the same day. No permits are issued on Saturday, Sunday and Bhutan government holidays. During the peak season (depending upon the rush), immigration may take long time to issue the permit. We shall not be responsible for any delay during processing of permit by the immigration authority.
